Tipple Tails multi award winning fruit cakes, are made in Sheffield by craft baker Jane Stammers.
‘Tip over Tipple Tails’ is a Yorkshire phrase for ‘head over heels’ or bend over backwards to do something. The Tipple Tails philosophy is to do things really well and take the time to enjoy the simple things in life.
Jane worked hard to source all the elements of her fruit cakes from as close to Sheffield as possible, using really good ingredients and supporting local businesses to produce delicious moist fruit cakes, packed with fruit and nuts and infused with unusual tipples – cake which is really worth eating!
There are four fruit cakes in the Tipple Tails boozy range:
Ginger Tingle packed with Stem Ginger and Walnuts and infused in mouth tingling Jamaica Ginger Cake liqueur
Cherry Orchard, bursting with Almonds and Cherries and steeped in fragrant Cherry Bakewell Tart liqueur;
Cinnamon Pippin, full of plump juicy Sultanas and Hazelnuts and spiced in tummy warming Cinnamon Apple Crumble liqueur and;
Coco Bazaar, an exotic Chocolate Fruit Cake with Chocolate, Pistachios, Honey, Cardamom and laced with heady Turkish Delight Liqueur.
The Total Fruit Cake slice is perfect to take on a bike ride; pop into your rucksack or lunch box or even your pocket – no booze in this one but bursting with dates, apricots and nuts and infused with Sheffield Honey and ‘Full Monty’ tea.
The cakes are hand crafted with great care, big on flavour and very good to eat – just lovely, uncomplicated food.
